Attached are some of the papers that I have written for my upper-level English classes. In these papers, I was able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the content area as well as the ability to analyze and interpret literature in order to form strong arguments.
The first paper attached is a paper I wrote for a 400 level English class about the dangers of objectification using the novel Descent into Hell by Charles Williams.
The second paper is one that I wrote for an American Literature class. This paper was about modernism and poetry and I chose to write about T.S. Eliot and The Waste Land.
The third paper attached is one that I wrote during my freshman year of college. Although it was written for a introductory composition class, I think that it is relevant for my portfolio because I focus on how to teach moral virtue in places that aren't accepting of religious instruction.
